Amara Home Care Services, Inc. (AHC) subscribes to the definition of health by the World Health Organization. According the WHO, health is a state of maximal physical, mental, and social well being, and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity. The enjoyment of the highest attainable standard of health is also stated by the WHO to be one of the fundamental rights of every human being without distinction of race, religion, political belief, economic, or social condition. To that end, the personnel at Amara Home Care are committed to providing high quality health care and promoting maximum physical, mental, and social conditions in the homes of our clients/patients and their families.
WHAT WE BELIEVE
We believe in accountability to our clients. We strive to improve their ability for self-care so that they can live more qualitative lives with their families and in society.
We believe in the value of client participation in the planning and implementation of our service programs.
We believe it is our responsibility to employ and treat persons without regard to race, creed, gender, sexual preference, age, color, religion, physical handicap, or national origin.
We believe in employing and retaining staff that are current in their knowledge, application, and conceptualization of professional practice. We believe staff should be skilled in making professional judgment, applying treatment modalities, and updating their clinical knowledge.
We believe that it is necessary for all staff members (professional and non-professional) to support and reflect our philosophy in their practice. It is therefore necessary for staff to work cooperatively in order to enhance the philosophy, goals, and objectives of our company.
We believe that on-going evaluation of our services is essential.
We are committed to management practices which facilitate open communication and participation in problem solving, program development, and implementation.
We continually seek new ways and means of responding to the changing health needs of our clients. We also respect the autonomy of our clients and their family members in making decisions affecting their present and future health status.
We are committed to making services available to all persons within our service area. We utilize the inter-disciplinary approach in providing services and work cooperatively with other community agencies and groups to provide comprehensive care.
Our mission is to build a home care practice founded on our core values of professional, compassionate, and empathic care. We aim to utilize all available, standard programs to secure a chance for our clients to pursue a meaningful, dignified, and secure life in their homes and communities.
We provide compassionate support and respite to families whose loved ones would otherwise be put in a nursing home and do so with affordable care of the highest quality in their own residence.
